Romantic Destinations for Colorado

Romantic Get Away in Colorado
Colorado is a Wintery Wonderland full of Possibilities for Love

Colorado is a place many consider as “Home of the Rockies” Did you know? Our state is one of the most romantic places in the country. In fact, you’ll find places like Aspen and Vail listed as Top-Destinations for lovers to visit. This week’s article seems appropriate with Valentine’s Day on the horizon. Join us while we reveal romantic destinations for Colorado where you can celebrate.

Loveland, Colorado is a Romantic Destination Get Away
Loveland, Colorado is one of the most romantic cities in the state celebrating Valentine’s Day as a Tradition.

You don’t need to travel far or read“Fifty-Shades of Grey” to find a love-scene winning over your lover. On the contrary, Loveland, Colorado happens to be one of the most romantic cities in the USA. Residents consider Valentine’s Day a serious tradition in this neck of the woods. From mailing cards to the display of hearts found on the lampposts throughout downtown, you will find admiration on every corner.  Our residents think outside the candy box where you will find people showing appreciation to a number of recipients.  February 14th is part of Loveland’s culture where we admire our favorite people and organizations. Our city is also a premier destination for a staycation with a nice variety of intimate restaurants in town. Take this holiday to show your loved ones how much you admire them with one of our famous traditions.

Northern Colorado Yurts are romantic ways to spend Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day in a Yurt. Who Knew?

Don’t Let Your Love Life Be Square, Stay in a Yurt

If your love life is generally square, here is a good tip. Make it round! North Park Yurts will enchant you with a unique perspective including round structures to view spectacular mountains and vistas. You will find Walden, Colorado offers rentals where the fun of the yurt draws some excitement. Historians believe these round tents originate from Mongolia and were used for shelter. Whatever the history, you will enjoy the fun and cozy huts as a great escape without having to drive far.

Chipeta Solar Springs in Ridgeway, Colorado
Chipeta Solar Springs offers heated pool, private rooms with jacuzzi and hot springs all at the same resort.

Charming Western-Style Get-Away for You and the Honey

Nestled in the Northern Slopes, Chipeta Solar Springs Resort is a delightful place found in Ridgeway, Colorado. The scenery is stunning no matter what season. Furthermore, Winter is a great time to visit this property as there are hot springs, heated pools and private rooms with a spa. Just right for warming up after a day of skiing, you and your partner can gaze over the San Juan Mountains while warming up next to a fire. The resort’s South-Western theme makes a perfect choice for those who want to cater to their favorite cowboy or girl. Yee-haw!

Aspen, Colorado is one of the most beautiful places to celebrate love.

Get High from the Elevation or Love at Aspen, Colorado

With an elevation of 8,000 feet, Aspen is one of the most breathtaking of all the resort towns. TripSavvy.com lists them in the top-5 and you can see why with the beautiful snowcapped peaks, majestic pines and a landscape welcoming all. Not to mention, the fore founder’s vision was to operate the town using mind, body and spirit helping you feel the nostalgia while taking a stroll through the town. What you may not know, Aspen was the location for the Aspen Movie Map project.  This was the first Virtual Reality film produced in our history. The hypermedia system creates an orthogonal technology which is able to provide a surrogate travel experience. Sorta boring for some? Maybe. But for others, that innovation could sweep some film buffs away without a doubt. More importantly, Aspen is a premier get away and a place you need to see to appreciate its beauty.

Estes Park is a Romantic Northern Colorado Destination

Estes Park’s Stanley Hotel Will Leave Your Spouse Clenching

Speaking of movies, the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park is both romantic and eerie for Colorado. While some may find the famous spot to be a turn-on, the hotel will certainly have your partner clenching your side. That is especially true if they have seen “The Shining.” Rumor has it Stephen King was passing through and stopped at the hotel for a night. His visit help with inspiration to write the screen play. While only a few scenes were filmed at the hotel, you can envision Stephen King and Stanley Kubrick, going over their shot list giving additional thrills. However, they are not the only celebs to stay on location. The impressive-guest-list for the 138-room property accommodates high-profile people every day.  The glamour draws in people like Jim Carrey, Kevin Bacon and Theodore Roosevelt. Just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park, this is a spectacular place to bring your ‘Boo!’

A Romantic Destination for Colorado and a Honeymoon Resort is what you will find at Breckenridge, Colorado
Breckenridge is both a honeymoon resort and a romantic destination for Colorado.

Breckenridge is a Honeymoon Destination

While Estes Park includes a rich history, so does Breckenridge. However, Breckenridge is also considered a ‘Honeymoon Destination’ with good reason. ‘The Breck’ is charming year-round with 5-peaks for snow skiing and snowboarding. Also, the town is full of shops and fine dining on every block. If you’re seeking real inspiration, then Breckenridge may just be the place for sparking some energy. You can’t lose with all the activities. We highly recommend taking your romance here for some serious splendor. Never a boring moment with a roller coaster, (Operates Winter and Summer) a gondola, and art festivals. All make it a worthwhile trip.

Steamboat Springs at Pioneer Ridge
Breathtaking views

Steamboat Springs is our Final and Romantic Destination for CO

Our last romantic destination for Colorado is Steamboat Springs. An article found on TripAdvisor shares their list of the “10-Best Romantic Things to Do in Steamboat Springs“ gives additional insight. After a day of hiking soak your bones and muscles at the mountain’s oasis known as Strawberry Hot Springs. This wonderful sanctuary may get you drunk off nature when surrounded by such beauty. Chill out with a winter landscape ideal for your favorite outdoor sports including horseback riding. Whether you snow shoe or ride there is so many wonderful ways to celebrate life at “Ski-Town USA.”
